After doing Crossfit for a while, it can common to lose some intensity in your workouts. You come to the box do the WOD, break a sweat, and then go home. Where was your intensity for that work out? Did you give it all you had? If you didn’t RX it was it because you thought you couldn’t do it or have you just been using the same weight for so long that you just use that every day?
Intensity is important to improve yourself and see results of your training. Showing up is half the battle but making sure you push yourself everyday is the hard part. If that is the case, I suggest stepping out of your comfort zone and signing up an “event”. It could be a competition like festivus, weightlifting meet, or even a race. Something that will give your training a purpose. Every time you go to the box to do the WOD, imagine you are in that competition or try to push your intensity level past what you may normally do.
But no matter what you do…HAVE FUN!!
