Why do we call every person that comes to us an Athlete…? The definition of Athlete is, A person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical exercise. That’s a very basic way of describing us. Why aren’t we just exercisers? Toiling away, getting a sweat on with your only goal is how you look. Blech! We dub you “Athlete” because we want you to take charge of your fitness. Setting goals, pushing limits and tracking progress. Overall, our aim of is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness supported by measurable, observable and repeatable results. Well what does that mean? It means our program prepares you for any physical contingency—not only for the unknown but for the unknowable, too. Our specialty is not specializing. An athlete tracks progress (SugarWod) and using that info can see where there strengths lie and areas to improve. We use clocks, whiteboards, measured weights, distances and forms to figure out how to improve and get fitter. This gives you the tools to compete in any arena. Want to learn to ski, rock climb, run a 5k or marathon, CF comps or whatever you desire? You can! It’s more than seeing a number on a scale. It’s bigger than getting a PR on a deadlift. You are capable of anything and by realizing that you are more than an exerciser and an athlete progressing to something bigger more adept and fitter.
