When setting goals, focus on behavior goals vs output goals. What you do mentally guides what you do physically, and the result of what your body does is simply the result of that.
Want to get better at double unders? Don’t say ‘I want to get 100 double unders’. Say ‘I want to focus on keeping my feet and heels in while my arms relax’…..and the result will come. Want more pull ups? Don’t say ‘I need to get 20 unbroken’, say ‘I need to keep my shoulders engaged and control the timing of my hip extension at the top of the kip’. Again, the physical results will come.
Your behavior and mental dedication are what drives your physical body.
