It’s that season!! A lot of people have been getting sick. Most people think to sweat it out or to do something active to shake off that sickness. I learned that to prevent yourself from being sick you have to eat well, drink a lot of water and listen to your body. I remember talking to Katie Carlo one day and mentioning that I would work out when I was sick. The advice she gave me will forever be in my head whenever I feel sick, “ the energy you spend working out, could be energy used for getting out of that cold”. Ever since then when I felt under the weather it doesn’t not last longer than a couple of days. Thank you Katie Carlos for those awesome words, and because of you I tell ALL of my athletes that when they are sick and at the box. You also do not want to go to the box while being under the weather because you will spread that onto your favorite coaches and you don’t want them to have to take a day off of coaching do you? Drink water every day,create better eating habits and health habits and that just might minimize your chances of being sick!
