Why oh why do we do this to ourselves? Are we crazy? Is there something disconnected inside our brains that’s warns of the danger of going to the extreme? Probably… Many of us have our reasons. Some to lose weight, get bigger, look better or a combo of all of those and then some. If you don’t have an answer get one. Spinning your wheels and not seeing results could be because you didn’t set a goal. One of my many drivers is to get outside. Go to the mountains and do things. Camp, hike, bike, climb, and/or ski and fish. I want to be a mountain man and I need to stay fit so I can do all that whenever I want. Without squats and WODs that are difficult and a coach that pushes me climbing a 400 foot wall would be difficult. Descending a run on skis would be hellish and probably injurious. The mid-forties are deceiving. Being fitter now than in my 20’s is amazing but i also know that there are 40 plus years of damaged that i’ve done to the body. The stuff we do at CFOx is going to help me push the years back and stay on the mountain. Find your reason and set some goals. Short and long term. Also, Go! Explore this amazing place we live in.
