Due to my job I travel quite a bit and it puts sort of a damper on my ability to regularly get a workout in and eat right. After traveling for 10 plus hours it’s the last thing on my mind. But I have found it makes the transition a little bit easier. I have come to enjoy traveling to new gyms and seeing the difference from CFOx and other gyms. It has helped me come out of my shell when it comes to meeting people. Being the new person in class is always awkward and I have made it my goal to talk to at least one person in class. When I do this, I have found that I have found things in common with people, from working in similar fields to talking about kids. It always make me feel a little better and i want to come back to that gym when I have a small conversation with the regulars. This is why as coaches we try and get everyone to talk to each other. It not only helps you grow but also welcomes that person who may not feel comfortable just yet. Take the time to get to know people. You when get older it’s not the destination that brings you happiness, but the experiences and people you’ve met along the way.
