I’ll start Monday. I am guilty of saying this more than once, more than ten times, relating to many different things. I want to run more, I want to lose weight, I want to make it to the gym everyday NEXT week; I’ll start Monday. Why is it that we always put things off till the next week, is it because this week has already gone to waste? NO! Start now! It’s never the wrong time, and it’s never too late. Time is all we have. Time to grow, change, become a better version of ourselves.
Weight has been a struggle of mine my entire life. I am insecure about it and let it get the best of me. I have recently realized that in order to become confident with my weight I must not practice perfection but lean more toward consistency. Consistency in the foods I chose, the measurements I log, and the amount of time I do it for. I have eliminated the “I’ll start Monday” mindset whenever I slip up and think more on the side of I’ll do better my next meal. MyFitnessPal app on my phone is currently my main source of accountability.
If you have the same struggles as me I definitely recommend giving it a shot. My Fitness Pal provides me with my caloric intake for the day based of my current body weight, goal body weight, and exercise levels. I can essentially eat anything I want as long as it is within my recommended intake and I will see results. In the past I have struggled with stress over weighing every macro I put into my mouth. Logging through this app reminds me what I have left for the day making it easier to eat out with friends, enjoy all the foods in moderation (ofcourse). As I am making my transition to the My Fitness Pal lifestyle I feel energized during my workouts and am seeing results.
