NUTRITION is very important when trying to excel in your fitness. Fitness is not just about lifting weights, or cardio but it is about how you eat. Before I would just eat whatever I wanted, or just eat salads. I felt very sluggish and did not get the results I wanted. When they say abs are made in the kitchen it is 100% true! I kind of knew how to cook but not like I do now. It isn’t as hard as some people may think. I just find some pinterest recipes, or go on instagram and find paleo instagram profiles and BOOM, recipe galore. It is so easy to cook these meals because they have every single detail in there. I know it sounds silly, well duh Coach Brenda all recipes do, but this was something new for me.
For a couple of months now, I have been meal prepping and getting a majority of these recipes online or ask friends how they cook a certain meat. It can be as easy as brown rice, chicken and spinach which will last you quite some time. I LOVE the feeling when my family tries the food I made and have them be impressed. I was never cook and yes I do follow recipes but it’s really fun to get in the kitchen and just learn new ways to mix things together that you never thought would be SO GOOD together. Make it a fun little project every sunday for yourself, if you have kids, have your kids be involved in the meal prepping process. ** I never really liked my vegetables until I started to meal prep for myself** Now my performance is getting that much better and my recovery time right after the workout is not as long as it used to be.
