So last year was the second year that I did the workout called Murph. If you don’t know what that WOD is, it is a hero WOD that is traditionally done on Memorial Day in remembrance of LT Michael Murphy who was KIA in 2005. The WOD is as follows, all of this is to be done with a 20lb weight vest, 1 mile run, 300 air squats, 200 push ups, 100 pull ups, and then another 1 mile run. I have always done Murph without a weight vest. If you know me as an athlete, then you know that running and bodyweight movements are kinda my jam and my comfort zone. I could do Murph again this year without a weight vest… but I was thinking about it, and I was like … that’s not enough, I would totally be cheating myself if I did that AND also I want more from myself. I know that I have more in me and I won’t get anywhere if I stay in my comfort zone. So this year I have resolved to do Murph RX, with a weight vest! I know what I need to do and I have already started training for it. So I ask you this, Do you want more? How do you know if YOU have more in you? Are you holding back, or are you ready to get uncomfortable?
