I’ve been asking a few times these past few weeks the exact same question, “So, how does it feel to be back??” To be completely honest, doesn’t feel like I ever left. I suppose that’s why the core of CrossFit is community, and Oxnard has one of the strongest communities I’ve ever belonged to. It feels wonderful to be back. Feels like I am exactly where I belong and I know it has a lot to do with the friendships I’ve made in this amazing community that has lasted for 4+ years. We’ve grown and matured and have been able to maintain friendship, communication, and even when I left the gym I was always welcome to attend any events or workouts CFoX was hosting or even a BBQ or simple get together at people’s houses. In fact, a few of the members met me, possibly a few paleo beers deep, for the first time lol. The community that lies around CrossFit and this gym in particular is so unique and strong and so inviting. Everyone wants to be a part of it and it was something I had missed terribly. So, how does it feel to be back you ask? My answer, feels like home.
