Life happened to me hard recently. As many of you know my grandpa passed away two weeks ago. On Memorial Day went to the ER and was in ICU got about 4-5 days. I was somewhat prepared for him to pass but he held on for a couple weeks, enough for us to take him home and let him be around his family and take his last shot with us. He meant a lot to me, I remember taking the bus to the apartment complex he used to live at and there he & my grandma were waiting for me on the corner so we can walk to his home together. Growing up with him living with us was a lot for me. He was a very stubborn man that was ALWAYS right and sometimes I would just have to walk away and take a little breather but man I loved him so much. One moment I will always cherish was when he showed up to my recent CrossFit Competition, The Granite Games Throwdown, and there he was watching me with my team , Madi & Nikki. I looked at him after the workout and his eyes started to water, he was SO PROUD OF ME. I am so lucky that he got to watch me do what I love.
He will always be with me, he will always give me strength but man it HAS been rough.
I AM SO LUCKY TO HAVE THE SUPPORT THAT I HAVE.
You guys have given me so much strength and support & I am so thankful for all of you. My emotions have been everywhere so thank you for your patience and love. I am so lucky to have you guys to guide me through this process & thank you CrossFit Oxnard for helping become this strong woman, strong enough to be a pallbearer for my grandpa. I LOVE YOU GUY & THANK YOU AGAIN.
