Born and raised in Ventura County, I started CrossFit about 6 months ago. I love to travel, enjoy hiking, camping, overeating and saving lives! I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie and love to stressful situations.
GORUCKS, Mud Runs, Watching Movies.
How You Found CrossFit and/or Why You CrossFit:
I was looking for a type of workout that works on the whole body and increases endurance. I’m training to become a firefighter and found that CrossFit is perfect to add strength and increase mobility. I like the people and the competition that CrossFit offers.
Favorite Workout(s) and Why:
I really enjoy body weight exercises because those are what I’m better at. My favorite workout so far was Murph, the story behind it is inspiring and the motivation to not quit such a tough workout was fun.
Favorite Movement(s) and Why:
Pull Ups because I can do them for days.
Least Favorite Workout(s) and Why:
The ones with a lot of double unders, even though they are good for you,they suck!
Least Favorite Movement(s) and Why:
Snatches and jerks because I’m not a huge fan of throwing heavy weight above my head that requires perfect technique.
I really enjoy helping people when they are in need of medical attention.
Words of Advice For New CrossFitters:
Have fun with the workouts because they will suck but if you’re having fun it will make it suck less.
Any last comments:
I want to thank the coaches for pushing us to get stronger and faster. They really make the workouts enjoyable and they motivated us to push harder then we thought possible.
