I was born and raised in Concord, MA, went to college in St. Petersburg, FL, and previously lived in Dallas, TX I then moved to California in 2003. So I’ve lived in a couple different places.
I played soccer and lacrosse in high school and soccer in college. My daughter is 11 and amazing of course!

#How You Found CrossFit and/or Why You CrossFit:
I was first exposed through my previous job at CSUN where some of the coaches and training staff were into it and would CrossFit during the day. Also from watching the Games on ESPN. I just started asking more questions about and tried the workouts a couple of times and was hooked.
I continue to CrossFit for many reasons, including our community, the competition of each class and with myself, and that there’s always something to work on and get better at. To me there is not a better fitness platform and its always so much fun!
#Favorite Workout(s) and Why:
Long grueling chipper workouts, if they have descending-ascending order with a midway point of burpee box jumps or burpee’s over the bar, with a buy in and cash out of a run or row. And hopefully with no overhead squats or squat snatches.
Why? Because it’s just work. Gut it out, put your head down and go. Plus the feeling of when it’s finally over.
#Favorite Movement(s) and Why:
Rope climbs, they’re something I never thought of previously trying or thought I would ever do. Now they’re my favorite…heart eyes emoji.
#Least Favorite Workout(s) and Why:
No such thing, I like all workouts.

Overhead squats, and even more so squat snatches. Why? Have you seen me do them?? Hahaha. Just one of the movements I need to work on, a lot.

Words of Advice For New CrossFitters:
We’re all nice and we all started somewhere. Don’t worry about what other people are doing and the coaches will help prepare you for a workout that will challenge you and push you. Listen to the coaches, don’t get discouraged and come back tomorrow!
